Jacqueline Diele is a self-taught visual artist of Puerto Rican heritage, born and raised in Brooklyn, NY. Her artistic journey began in 2008 during a six-day spiritual silent retreat, where she sought a deeper connection to herself and her spirituality. It was here that Jacqueline created her first piece of art—a sketch of a beggar, symbolizing the vulnerability and longing inherent in the human experience. This profound moment marked the birth of her identity as an artist, and since then, she has used her art to explore and express her spiritual and emotional growth.
Jacqueline's work delves into the complexities of the human condition, blending her creative abilities with a deep introspective approach. Her art serves as a bridge between herself and the world, reflecting her ongoing journey of self-discovery and spiritual evolution.
In addition to her artistic pursuits, Jacqueline has a background in social work, having earned a bachelor’s degree in the field. She worked extensively with underprivileged communities in New York City, integrating her passion for art into her career by developing and facilitating expressive art programs for vulnerable populations. Her experience as an Activities Coordinator allowed her to merge her artistic talents with her commitment to social service, enriching the lives of those she served through creative expression.
In 2016, Jacqueline decided to fully embrace her calling as an artist, dedicating herself entirely to her craft. She held her first solo exhibition, Realm of the Spirit, at the George Mercer Jr. School of Theology in Garden City, where her work was celebrated for its depth and transformative power. Today, Jacqueline continues to create and exhibit her art throughout New York City, while also offering workshops that emphasize the healing and transformative potential of the creative process.
As a full-time artist and spiritual director, Jacqueline remains committed to using her art as a means of connection, growth, and exploration, inspiring others to tap into their own creative potential.
